Well, since we can change the contact list appearence to bordless window, why not change the conversation window as well to a bordless one?
OK, some themes wouldn't look that good but others would.
Sorry if that's an issue already in mind by the developers but I didn't find anything.
Cheers!

The decision has been made not to support such functionality. (
http://trac.adiumx.com/ticket/2607) There are many reasons, including functionality [do tabs float or what?], and technical [how would toolbars be handled, as they are more needed there than the contact list]

Well, I know you guys are not blind or anything but that's why I thought of the "option", not a rule. (;
Once configured, how often do you realy use the toolbar? Can't you use OS menubar anyway?
Tabs? Not everyone uses them but yes, they could kind of float beneath the main window, just like groups do in the contact list.
Again, it would be as an option as well as the budy icon on the conversation. You can disable it on some themes and you can't have it on others.
So, it was just a thought. I would use it a lot. Don't know about other people.
Anyway, thanks for explaining. I'm sure you know more about coding that I do so I'll just trust you on that. (;
Keep up the good work!

Just because you
can doesn't necessarily mean you
should.
