Greetings.
I find myself turning into a NeXT-interface restoration junkie (including hacking SwizCore's NeXT theme so some of the menu extras look better and hacking the Dock so the Finder icon is a NeXT logo and the trashcan is a recycler icon), which leads to a slight problem: The black Adium menu icon doesn't look right against a black menu bar. So I hacked my copy of Adium so the duck in the menu bar is a 50% gray. It occurs to me that it would be rather cool for users to be able to define custom menu icons for Adium, much the way Dock icons can be customized by users without hacking. Somehow I envision little colored ducks in the menu bar...

i think it would be great to have user defined custom menu bar icons alos. i ended up taking mine down because it didn't go with my theme to well. hopefully a future release will offer users the option? i love the milk dock icon.. it would be great to get the menubar icon to look like that and be able to get rid of the dock icon altogether (option of course)

Now that's good branding:
"Adium™, the brand that insists on putting an evil duck in your menubar"
This reminds me, what's up with Adium versioning? We're all awaiting the release of Adium .8. Except for that we already have Adium 2 folders in our libraries. And then Adium is sometimes called AdiumX. And the old version of Adium is called Adium 1.x, which makes it have a higher version number than the current Adium .76.
How about we just call it Adium 2005 and be done with it?
Or at least "Adium X: Adium 10.2.76"
