Is the trac down?

Post by sfb »

Hey all,
It's October 15, and I believe the Adium trac is down. I've checked a few times today. Firefox and Camino couldn't connect to the server, but didn't say anything about not finding it. What's up?

As many of you are probably aware, Trac has been having really major stability and performance issues lately. imajes, who runs Cocoaforge (which also hosts Adium trac and svn, as well as the same for Growl and other projects), said yesterday (Saturday) that he was going to work on several moves today (Sunday) which would hopefully alleviate or fix most of the problems. This includes a switch to lighttpd and to a new database backend for trac rather than SQLite. We'll be back up and running again ASAP, though I don't know an ETA yet :)

We're also going to be purchasing some more RAM for the server, which should help once it's in in a week or two.
The duck still burns.

ty evands.
But do you think that this has any relation to this other problem I'm having with the Adium site? When I upload a file in the Xtras site. It never uploads the binary file; but everything else. Does imajes also admin the server that hosts the xtras?

It doesn't, the xtras site is hosted with someone else on purpose in order to spread try to keep services separate in case one goes down (such as now)
