Apparently the long dash is causing a problem.

Not Vienna's fault. Most RSS-Parsers don't accept (= translate) HTML Entities (the —) in the title, and AFAIK that's according to the specification.

So, error is on Slashdot's end.

Would it be possible to do a simple parsing, and filter — out, while replacing it with the correct character?
