I finally converted my subscriptions by importing them from Google Reader. It is obvious which feeds were imported, because the names of the ones that came from Google Reader are preceded with a [G]. With two exceptions, all of them now sync with Google Reader. The exceptions are:
1.) One feed that is based on a Google Alert, which finds articles based on a specified subject. In Vienna Beta 3.0b.2820, this feed receives no articles and has a yellow warning triangle in place of the unread article count.
2.) One feed from DPReview.com, a photography website. While it, too, was subscribed-to from within Google Reader, it is the only imported feed whose name was not preceded by a [G]. It shows articles when refreshed, but does not sync with Google Reader.
Both of these feeds work just fine in a newsreader app on my iPhone (Feedler) that syncs with Google Reader. I also tested them in NetNewswire and they work properly in that application, too. I prefer the Vienna UI, so I hope to get these feeds working again, if possible.
I'm hoping someone might be able to explain why these two feeds don't follow the same behavior as the rest of the imported feeds.

For the first feed, the activity window should give a clue.
For the second feed, I suspect it is subscribed locally. Remove it, and the Google Reader version should appear.

barijaona:
I appreciate the reply:
Here is the activity window message on the first one: "Connecting to Google Reader to retrieve user... HTTP code 400 reported from server" This is surprising given that the same feed works just fine in Google Reader and in my mobile newsreader app, Feeddler.
Your suggestion to delete and refresh worked for the second problem.
Thanks!

I also have Google alerts feeds, and they work well.
A 400 error if frequently an authentication issue... Most of the time, they resolve themselves after a while. Sometimes, I have to quit Vienna and relaunch.
As it affects only one feed, your issue seem to be different. Can you create another Google alert feed and check if the issue is also present ?

@jhersco : OK, I reproduced the problem and have just submitted a fix at Github.
Thanks for your help !

If you are referring to Google Alerts feeds, you will have to visit
http://www.google.com/alerts/manage
There, you can delete alerts, and define new ones.
When you create one, you have the option to have alerts notified by mail or to a feed.

???
For some reasons, 2821 is not able to auto-update. You will have to download the now "official" beta from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/vienna ... tVersions/
But from 3.0.0 Beta 7 on, auto upgrades will work automatically (we will solve some minor issues we encounter before Beta8).

I am also looking for the answerThanks in advance.
I am not sure I really understand the question, but you can uncheck then recheck the "Sync with Google Reader" checkbox in the Sync tab of the Preferences dialog.

Given the single post, and the spam link in his signature, peter212 is probably a spambot. Would guess the same regarding baga.
