Have you tried removing the Preferences file ? (~/Library/Preferences/uk.co.opencommunity.vienna2.plist)
Dump attached. No, I didn't remove the plist, since I installed 2.6 for the first time with Mountain Lion already installed. But I'll remove it now and keep you posted if there are more crashes.

Removing the Preferences file didn't do the trick. I got another crash (attached) when I closing a tab.

Well yesterday as requested I installed a beta version of Vienna only to have it crash this morning before I was able to finish reading all of the feeds for this morning.

So it does appear at this point that the beta is any better.

Well I just returned from playing racquetball. I was going to catch up on my RSS feeds only to have it crash again.

The beta appears to crash just as much as the 2.6 release to me.

It did it again as soon as I restarted it

I have gotten sick and tired of Vienna RSS continually crashing.

I have gone back to 2.5.0.2501 to see if falling back will cut down on the crashes.

If you ever get another version that you think will not crash let me know and I will be willing to test it for you.

I'm attaching several crash logs from my use of Vienna today. I'd wager that more won't be helpful, so I'll stop there. Let me know if I can be of any more assistance as you debug this. I think they all happened when I was closing a tab.

I have just uploaded a new beta (3.0b.2817) with the latest commits, which include an updated framework for tabs.

I hope it will fix those crashes. Personnally, using my personal builds, I haven't encountered a crash for weeks (when launching from outside Xcode).
Sorry for not publishing earlier, but my move from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion required some time. I am currently on Mountain Lion 10.8.1.

How great you're on the case. Thanks! I'll try it out and report back. Fingers crossed.

Alas, the crashes continue when closing tabs on Mountain Lion in ViennaBeta (3.0b.2817). I'll collect more crash logs and post them all together later.

Here are 5 more crash logs from ViennaBeta (3.0b.2817). I hope they're of some use. They all occurred when I was closing a tab (with either command-W or the tab's close button).

Just for the record, I think this is unbelievable childish. Spamming a forum with crash logs for paid software would be rude enough but we're talking about a software produced by a project of volunteers...

I've added the "" tags for the logs on the first page for readability. I see people have attached crash logs since which is good.

Finally (!), I found a procedure to reproduce at will similar crashes.

Find a Twitter post containing a link.
Open in Vienna the webpage corresponding to this single tweet (the url is something like http://twitter.com/theUserName/statuses/...lot of digits...)

Click on the link contained in the Twitter post. Wait a few seconds so that Vienna begins opening the link in a new tab.
Then, close the tab containing the Twitter message. Booom !!!

I don't know yet if the bug is specific to Mountain Lion.
I hope to find time to work on the subject this evening.

I have found a web page that cause Vienna to crash for me every time I attempt to close the tab. It is http://profmattstrassler.com/2012/08/30 ... ngs-waves/

I suggest that those encountering crashes with betas and Mountain Lion give a try to version 3.0b.2818 that I just uploaded.

You can download it on Github.
Or just use Vienna's menu item "Check for updates".

For a while I thought 2818 had helped with the crashes, but I've had so many crashes that I think it's just as bad. I'm attaching a bunch of crash logs here.
