How to do [x], perhaps feature requests

1. Google Reader has a nice feature that loads items dynamically when you scroll to the bottom of the list, and it can reach deep Into the past. I wonder of there's some way to implement this behavior in Vienna? I miss being able to browse the past entires of some feeds, like longform.org.

2. Is there a way to group feed items based on their Subject, in the same fashion that emails can be grouped into threads? This would be (I think) a useful enhancement that would reduce some of the clutter that some feeds present.

3. Is there some way of enabling Vienna to load and use Safari's or Firefox's extensions into Vienna's integrated browser? I miss the ad blocker, cookie manager, and other privacy, security, and productivity extensions that I use in Safari and Firefox. I have set up Vienna to open links in Firefox and in the background, and I'm grateful that I can do this. It's just that being able to browse feeds and load pages in the same app, using the protections and conveniences that extensions offer, would be very convenient.

4. Lastly, Google Reader's List View layout presents a list of feed items. When an item is clicked, the item expands downward to reveal the summary, and when the title is clicked again, the item rolls up. I've found this to be a very efficient use of screen space. May I suggest this as a new feature?

I'm very happy to have discovered Vienna. Please keep up the good work.

Very interesting ideas. We'll probably try to implement #4 in the future.

Vienna has its own plugin mechanism, which has some similarities with Safari. Not so sophisticated though. See http://www.vienna-rss.org/?page_id=120.

I don't see how we could implement #1. Google Reader has the advantage of being a service which has stored many articles for years now ; a Vienna copy is not able to go further than its own archives...
