vienna crashed .. HELP!

i totally lost all connections to vienna and any uploads do not create anything new. i am not at all knowledgeable on the lingo and would love layman's terms.. i hear about deleteing "preference" files, but i do not know what that means. i also saw something about flash, so i updated it, but to no avail. i run macbook lion OS. i've been without my feeds since sunday and i'm going through withdrawal.!! thanks in advance, annie

Two possible fixes. The first one is for reindexing the database, the second one for resetting the preferences

1/ If Vienna is able to launch, select the "Reindex Database" item in the "Vienna" menu. Then, quit Vienna and relaunch it.

2/- In Finder, select the "Go to Folder…" item in the "Go" menu
- in the following dialog box, type or paste the string ~/Library/Preferences and click OK
- spot a file named uk.co.opencommunity.vienna2.plist (or uk.co.opencommunity.vienna2 if your Finder is set to hide file extensions) and trash it
- relaunch Vienna and retune manually your own preferences

not able to get any uploads at all. nothing at all i'm so frustrated..no feedback at all? no one else has this problem? ok, so fine; recommend a diff rss feeder for safari, then

You didn't find the preferences file ? Did you notice the tilde sign ~ at the start of the string ?
