Vienna in Mail

Post by rickyc »

How do I get Vienna to list my feed in mail?

How can I transfer my older feeds into Vienna - I just upgraded to Maverick.

How do I start new feeds?

Is there a manual or anything?

Thanks!!

If you are now using a completely new user account, for which the OS did not copy over your prior user settings and documents, you have two options.

1. Copy the folder ~/Application Support/Vienna to your new system in the same location. This will bring across subscriptions + read/unread status and a few other attributes.

2. Export and then Import the Subscriptions (although no read/unread status will transfer). These options can be found under the "File" menu, and you will need to copy across the open standard OPML text-based file which is exported of all your subscriptions.

Feeds are added with the "+" symbol. It helpfully suggests to use whatever text is currently copied to your clipboard.

Under Vienna's "Preferences", the "General" tab allows you to set Vienna as your default RSS reader. e.g. for links clicked in Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
