Want to make sure my RSS subscriptions are updated/synched b/w my MacBook and iMac.

How do I set up that function so something I read on one, doesn't show up as "unread" on the other?

A cloud based solution (FeedHQ or Bazqux are currently supported) is probably the best solution.

You can also give a try moving Vienna’s application support folder into Dropbox. But I have to warn on some risks with running two instances of Vienna simultanously on the same dataset : quit Vienna on the first machine before launching it on the second…
