Re: inoreader sync
Yes. I have tried totally clean install of Vienna. I have tried different accounts with Inoreader.
I'm at a loss.

OK I'll have to look into it. What sort of issues are you having?

Re: inoreader sync
Du-uh. Yeah I guess that would help. Sorry.
At first there simply was no syncing. No errors, no alerts, nothing. Simply no syncing. Then I began messing about with other inoreader accounts. When I start Vienna and it tries to connect to inoreader this image appears. I can use inoreader's browser interface just fine.

Re: inoreader sync
Grrr. I just tried a fresh install with a brand new user (for the OS), clean as a whistle. No good.

Re: inoreader sync
Can you please try following the tutorial that a user kindly posted here: http://cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=26804 ?

Re: inoreader sync
I've just done a fresh install of the latest Vienna and resynced to my Inoreader feeds. Everything seems to be working fine. I was getting 1 feed that wouldn't finish its refresh, but that problem went away after about 1/2 hour.egg wrote:Grrr. Re: inoreader sync
I'll try but am doubtful. My problem appears to be beyond sync. No account at inoreader is recognized by Vienna.
Re: inoreader sync
Forrest, did you have the 'Authentication failure' issue I had as shown in an image a few posts back?Forrest wrote:I've just done a fresh install of the latest Vienna and resynced to my Inoreader feeds. Re: inoreader sync
Good news is I do not have the authentication issue.
Bad news is only one feed is showing in Vienna. Been refreshing and waiting for 20 minutes.

Re: inoreader sync
No luck. have tried the process time, each time starting from scratch, deleting everything related to Vienna and doing a fresh install, deleting all cookies and caches for inoreader and starting with a new user. I am using my original exported list of feeds.

Re: inoreader sync
Having the same inoreader authentication error over the past two months with Vienna for Mac. Nothing is syncing.

Re: inoreader sync
I have the same issue. I ended up "downgrading" to 3.0.9 and syncing works again. I haven't tried 3.1.4 RC 1 yet (only 3.1.0-3.1.3) so that may or may not fix the problem.gramophone wrote:Having the same inoreader authentication error over the past two months with Vienna for Mac. Re: inoreader sync
This is good information. THANK YOU!
Now, where might I find older versions? Unless I've missed something obvious. Quite possible considering my age and my eyes.

You can find the old versions here: https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss/releases
Ignore the big download button and just click on the first link under the Downloads heading. For example, for Vienna 3.0.9 the download link is https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss ... a3.0.9.tgz
EDIT: Syncing will be worked on and improved.

Re: inoreader sync
Du-uh. SO should have found that on my own. But, hey! I'm traveling and monumentally distracted. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Thanks, josh!

Can you try the latest beta build ? https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss ... F3.1.4_rc2
You might have to mark deleted articles read through Inoreader’s webpages, but from now on, Vienna should be much able to sync correctly.

This works for me and fixes the issue. Thanks for the help and the time you spend on Vienna.barijaona wrote:Can you try the latest beta build ? https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss ... F3.1.4_rc2

Re: inoreader sync
I am happy to report this latest v3.1.4 rc2 is syncing for me, too. THANK YOU! Both to josh64x2 for the link to the older version and to barijaona for this latest.
I had become accustomed to using inoreader's own web GUI as it is impressive and quite functional. But I can safely say that once I got back to using a client (v3.0.9) I was much happier.
My hearty thanks to you guys, the Vienna team.
