3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
- Select a feed or folder
- Scroll down the article list so the scrollbar handle is visibly not at the top
- Select another feed or folder
- The article list is shown from the same position as you left the previous feed/folder
Previous versions always reset the position to the top of the article list.
OS X 10.11.5, Horizontal layout.

Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
Indeed, I was about to report the same issue. I think this changed between 3.1.4rc2 and 3.1.4 final. Not 100% sure though. Vertical layout on my side.
In addition to folders, this also appears to affect smart folders (my 'all unread' one seems to scroll to the end always.)

Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
I, as well, have this issue upon recent update.
Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
This wasn't completely fixed in 3.1.5:
1. Select a feed
2. Scroll down in the article list
3. Select another feed
=> The article list position is reset as expected
1. Select a feed
2. Select an article in the list
3. Scroll down
4. Select another feed
=> The article list position is not reset
1. Select a feed
2. Scroll down in the article list

Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
I'm not sure if my situation is the same as those previously described, so here goes. Vienna 3.1.5. Layout: Vertical. Filter: Unread articles. I have 2 folders, each of which contain several publications.
1. In folder 1, scroll down using the elevator scroll bar. Do not select any article.
2. Switch to folder 2. Do not scroll.
3. Switch back to folder 1. The focus is back at the top, instead of where I left it scrolled down.
Another problem, not sure if it's related.
1. In folder 1, scroll to the bottom of the list (reading articles as desired along the way).
2. Select Folder / Mark all items as read.
3. Switch to folder 2. Wait awhile to give folder 1 enough time to accumulate more than one screenful of unread articles.
4. Switch back to folder 1. It fills with more than one screenful of new unread articles (and no read articles, of course), but the focus is at the end of the list rather than at the top. Should be at the top (first unread article) since these are all unread articles. Worked correctly in previous version.

Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
The issue from the first post in the thread is back in Vienna 3.1.14.
Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
@Stern : I am not sure that the current behavior is exactly the same as the one described in the first post.
In my tests with 3.1.14, the selected article remains visible in the article list. I recognize it would be better if it was nearer to the centre of the list.

Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
In my testing, this issue does not occur with Next Unread, but it does occur with Skip Folder. Is that correct?
Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
It happens when switching feeds manually by clicking on them with the mouse.
Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds
Fixed again in version 3.1.15
