Display glitch with 3.1.7 :88ecb57: when refreshing feeds

Using Vertical layout. When Vienna refreshes feeds, the list of Headlines in the center panel flashes and scrolls to the top of the list, whether or not the currently selected/viewed feed. In previous versions, the flashing and scrolling did not happen.

I am on OS X 10.8.5.

I suppose you are referring to a group or smart folder containing one or multiple OpenReader feeds ?

Thank you for responding.

Sorry, I don't know what "OpenReader feeds" are.

The groups contain entries from a number of sources including popular news and tech feeds, such as a group named "Apple" containing feeds from 512 Pixels, Apple Insider, Macintouch, Macworld, etc.; or a group named "News" containing feeds from msnbc.com, Marketwatch, and Pacific Standard.

Did I answer your question?

Does 3.1.8 present the same problem ?
If yes, please post some screenshots of Vienna with the selection before and after the refresh. Regards.

The refresh glitch is still there in 3.1.8. Screenshots won't demonstrate the problem. Here are steps to reproduce:

Using Vertical layout:

1. Prepare several groups that contain multiple different feeds.
2. Select a group near the top of the list.
3. Select an article about halfway down in the list.
4. Keeping the article selected, scroll down so that the selected article is out of view.
5. Refresh the feeds.
6. As the various feeds refresh, the list of articles will jump up to the selected article.
7. Scroll down again.
8. Again, as the various feeds refresh, the list of articles will jump up to the selected article.

This jumping behavior does not happen when the feed being refreshed is the feed that the selected article is from, but rather when the feed being refreshed is different than the feed that the selected article is from.

This jumping behavior does not occur in 3.0.9.
