Subscription to site results in error though it is valid!
I have subscribed to the White House RSS but when I tell Vienna to refresh I get a Yellow Triangle on the Mail Box and nothing downloads. I have validated the link several times and it is good as is my subscription. Please help!

Hi. What is the URL of the feed?
Re: Subscription to site results in error though it is valid!
https://www.whitehouse.gov/feed/blog/white-house
When the subscription is made I either get a mail box with no name or a mail box with a Yellow Triangle in it and nothing downloads to my app. Every other of my subscriptions works fine!
Thanks for offering to help! Really appreciate it!

Hmm, that feed works for me.
Two things to look at after you get the yellow triangle
1) In the "Window" menu, open "Activity Window" (command-0). Select the feed and see what the Activity Window says.
2) Open the contextual menu for the feed, and select "Show XML Source".

Connecting to feed:https://www.whitehouse.gov/feed/blog/white-house
Error retrieving RSS feed: Unable to start HTTP connection
Does that mean that they are down? Or am I missing something?

I tried again and I now have a Folder with no name. I canceled the subscription and got nothing but a folder with no name. Activity continues to show error. Show XML Source is grayed out.
When I try to unsubscribe and then resubscribe I get a a sound that lets me know nothing is going to happen. Jeff I am sure that I am messing up but I have setup subscriptions on several other sites and I have had no problems.

Re: Subscription to site results in error though it is valid!
The URL here shouldn't have "feed:" at the beginning. That part needs to be deleted. Although it sounds like from your latest post that you've fixed it.THEBEAR1 wrote:Connecting to feed:https://www.whitehouse.gov/feed/blog/white-house
