"Move articles to trash" doesn't work

"Move articles to trash" doesn't work

Vienna 3.4.2, MacOS 10.13.6. I set Preference "Move articles to trash" = "After a day". But articles stay in folders forever, and Trash folder is empty. How to get old articles to delete automatically?
