perian with ffmpeg-mt?

Postby jayklx » Fri Apr 30, 2010 4:04 am

will perian use ffmpeg-mt in the future?
or how can I get it to work?
I just mean how can I build perian with ffmpeg-mt, i get a lot of errors by simply replace original ffmpeg with ffmpeg-mt.

and i have another question ,will perian support real media in the future?

No, it won't work. QT7 is too limited to support ffmpeg-mt without some hacks, and those hacks aren't implemented either (right now, it'll just crash if you enable it). Even if Perian could work with it, I can't think of a way to do it without delaying the video by ~3 frames (= .1 second) which would cause annoying audio sync loss.

QT 10 components might fix this, maybe. (I have no actual information about this.)

And RealMedia is quite possible. It'll happen faster if you do it yourself!
