Quicktime still won't open .FLV

I installed Perian but Quicktime still doesn't recognize and open .FLV files.
I'm using QT Version 7.6.4 (518.35) in MacOSX 10.4.11 on Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5.

I found the following Topic - "Perian not working with .flv"
and per instructions by Mr VacBob, I ran Terminal but it showed "No such file or directory"

Well, I quit QT and restarted and now it works.
QT must have been open when I installed Perian.
