[BugReport] Prowl 1.0.4 not displaying in Growl Prefpane

Postby Diggory » Sun Jul 26, 2009 2:59 pm

I get the following error when attempting to open the Prowl Display Options in the Growl Prefpane. (Growl v.1.1.5)

Code: Select all

26/07/2009 3:57:12 PM System Preferences[21665] Error setting value for key path selectionIndexes of object <NSArrayController: 0x17cc0350>[object class: NSDictionary, number of selected objects: 1] (from bound object <NSTableView: 0x17ca7940> with object ID 229 in Nib named GrowlPref.nib): [<ProwlGrowlPreferencesController 0x145a4e60> valueForUndefinedKey:]: this class is not key value coding-compliant for the key onlyWhenScreensaver.

Can anyone duplicate?

Try quitting System Preferences and relaunching it. Failing that, I don't know why that's happening.

Hmm - managed to get it working again - there were two Prowl display plugins in the Growl App Support folder - Because I still had prowl 1.0.3 in my downloads folder when I downloaded Prowl 1.0.4 it was called prowl-1 - so it installed two parallel copies. Somehow this confused Growl prefpane.

Removing both from the app support/growl/plugins folder the reinstalling prowl 1.0.4 solved the issue.

Yeah, that could do it. Definitely an argument in favor of switching to a .pkg installer, on top of automatically restarting Growl for the plugin changes.
