I have an feature request.
I can set the priority of messages sent to prowl. But it would be nice to also be able to set an custom color to the message, maybe by sending a RGB-code in the HTTP request.
I am using prowl for notofications from my network monitoring software and would like to set red color on DOWN messages and green for UP and other colors for status updates etc.
The color could be used for the background of the text-field, so if no color is sent in the request the backgrund is as is, but if there is a colorcode in the request the background get colored. This may be confusing with the new/read/active coloring of the header so this could be editable in settings to get bold text for new messages as an option to the colors.
To go further in this subject it would be nice if I could tag the messages so if I send another message with the same tag the previous message gets overwritten/deleted or grouped with the new one.
For example if i get a message that says
Message: DOWN, responsetime more than 50ms
and the a new one that says
Message: UP, was DOWN, responsetime more than 50ms.
it wold be nice if the first message got deleted or grouped with the second one.
Thanks for a very nice app, usually faster notice than email

Methinks this would require an API bump to support.
I re-brand your request "color by priority"
As much as I would love Prowl becoming more NAGIOS-geared, I admit that it's an unnecessarily specific addition to something as wonderfully generic (meaning infinitely extensible) as Prowl.
