Changes to the official perl command line utility

Postby jcardinal » Thu Jan 27, 2011 9:37 pm

With the new "url" option prowl offers, I assumed there must be a new version of the perl command line utility. I grabbed the latest version from http://prowlapp.com/static/prowl.pl, and gave it a try. I was able to send a notification fine, but without specifying a URL, I now get the following:

Code: Select all

Use of uninitialized value $options{"url"} in substitution (s///) at /path/to/prowl.pl.new line 70.
Use of uninitialized value $options{"url"} in sprintf at /path/to/prowl.pl.new line 83.
Notification successfully posted.

Is this a bug, or is this the intended behavior of the script? Not a huge deal since the notification still posts, but it'd be nice to have cleaner output.

Oops, missed the

Code: Select all

$options{'url'} ||= "";
- uploaded & fixed!

Only tested with providing 'url' input, either set or empty. My bad!
