*sigh*
That's the problem with forums, sometimes threads get lost. For more direct support we recommend the mailing list. Our contact page at
http://growl.info/contact.php says how to contact us, and does not mention the forums.
I've thought of ditching the forums and using the mailing list exclusively for a while, but there'd probably be a outcry from those who prefer forums over mailing lists.
In either case, that doesn't mean that you need to be rude about it. None of us are paid to work on Growl, and we all have busy lives. You're more than welcome to bump a thread if it hasn't been touched by someone in a about a week or so, but let's drop the cry for attention.
Also, if you hadn't noticed, we've had issues with getting our hosting back up and running, which has taken a considerable portion of time away from support and development. You unfortunately posted right in the middle of that.
Anyhow, the uninstaller was written so that it expects some processes to be running. There's a way easier way to uninstall Growl, which has been documented here in the manual uninstallation portion:
http://growl.info/documentation/growl-p ... emoval.php
Basically, stop processes related to growl, then go to the main sysprefs view and then ctrl+click and go to remove growl. That's all there is to it.
Users are expected to perform due dillegence before contacting us, and the uninstallation guide is right on the documentation page. What about this was hard for you to find? (other than the server being down for a few days)
