Is there any way to see previous notifications ? the ones which came yesterday. ?

Ya, turn on logging, log to a file, and then look for the timestamp in that file for the notifications from yesterday.

Long term I want a sort of rolodex/table view of them, but currently it's a low priority.

Note, enabling logging is a verbose act and you'll get a fair bit of output.
