What's wrong with this applescript? (Growl 0.6)

Postby LoveTheDuck » Mon Feb 28, 2005 9:37 pm

Hi I've read the documentation on using AppleScript with Growl 0.6, and changed a script I used to display volume setting of iTunes with Growl 0.5:

Code: Select all

tell application "iTunes"
   set theVol to the sound volume
end tell

tell application "GrowlHelperApp"
   set the allNotificationsList to ¬
      {"Volume Notification"}

   set the enabledNotificationsList to ¬
      {"Volume Notification"}

   register as application ¬
      "iTuensVolume" all notifications allNotificationsList ¬
      default notifications enabledNotificationsList ¬
      icon of application "iTunes"

   notify with name ¬
      "Volume Notification" title ¬
      "iTunes Volume Status" description "Current volume is " & (theVol as string) ¬
      application name "iTunesVolume"
end tell

I can see "iTunesVolume" in the list of "Applications" in the Growl preferences panel, but running the script didn't give me any notification. I've checked to maker sure the "Volume notification" was turned on.

Any suggestion? Much appreciated.

Check the spelling of iTunes in the notify/register calls.

I've done the same thing before. :)
