Well it depends. I only have entourage 2004 as well to test with, but I'm not sure if it's looking for the .app in the name or what you have already. Pretty sure it's the latter though and that was a wild goose chase.Scumpi wrote:I've opened the script, and it says: "tell application "Microsoft Entourage" " and that is the name of my app,The_Tick wrote:Scumpi wrote: Maybe... Can I just open the script and change it myself?
Should be able to with script editor.
So I dont think I need to change it...
Hilfe w. Growl!
My app's name is just Microsoft Entourage, so what should I do?The_Tick wrote:

What is the difference between the "Entourage Advanced" and "Entourage" scripts?
The truth is out there, and there is no spoon, but in Sweden everything is a lie, and it shure as hell is a spoon on my table.
Well, now I got the script right, in one way, the error massage has dissapered, but Entourage still doesnt work with Growl.
No menu for Entourage has come up in Growl, andI dont get a Notify from Growl.... so whats wrong now?

Re: Hilfe w. Growl!
You best bet is to copy Entourage Advanced.scpt to ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Entourage Script Menu Items/Scumpi wrote:To use Entourage with Growl you have to do something with the appelscripts ... but what... and where?![]()
For testing, if you're not sure about the rule catching your incoming messages first test it with all criterion removed in the 'if' section' and make sure it's listed first.
I just checked the download and it works fine in Entourage 2004, plus it should still work in v.X as well (nothing was changed except for Growl terminology). If you've renamed your Entourage.app you'll have to enter the new name into the script (without the .app).
The execution error sounds like the resources fork has been striped from the script, opening and resaving it (as a 'Script'/'Compiled Script') in Script Editor will solve that problem.
The difference between the two scripts is that Basic shows an alert for every email matching the rule, whereas Advanced handles priorities (including making high priority sticky so the alert is still on screen should you have been away).
HTH.

Thanks for the help! The error message is now gone, but Entourage still isn't listed in Growl...verseguru wrote:

How can I fix that?

Finally figured it out...
So, after I copied over to the Entourage Scripts directory, I double clicked on the actual script which brought it into the Apple Script editor. THEN, I clicked on Run, to actually run the script and Badabing, Growl popped up a message that the app had been registred and I know see it in the Growl prefs.
