[idea] Send notifications to applescript

Has anyone considered making a display style similar to 'MailMe' that passes the content of a notification to an applescript?

You'd be able to do some pretty neat things based on the notifications, like sending text messages, activating X10 controls, turning the computer off, etc.

If there's aleady a way to do this I'd love to hear about it!
