1. BeepHammer is detailed here:
http://trac.growl.info/wiki/BeepHammer. Alternatively you can run the following in a Terminal window to turn it on - defaults write com.Growl.GrowlHelperApp GrowlLoggingEnabled -int 1
2. As I stated in the quoted text, redone logging is possible in a future release. As it stands, the old version is not returning to the pref pane.
Thanks; The #2 option looks viable for me. It appears that I could also set that option using the plist editor which is part of the developer tools included with Tiger.
How to completely uninstall Growl

I'm having trouble on one machine with Growl not seeing (or being seen by) SuperDuper. When I do a backup from the GUI, I get the mailme notification I've specified, but when the same setting is run from the SD schedular, nothing happens; Console doesn't show a Growl "notification," and no email is sent;
It all seems to work on my G5 Quad (10.4.10), but not on a new Intel iMac (10.4.10); So I want to completel uninstall Growl. I did the "uninstall" procedure from the 1.1.1 download, and dragged the preference file from <username>:library:preferences to the trash and emptied the trash. Then rebooted and did the install again.
Interestingly, Growl seems to still remember my old SuperDuper configuration in the Growl preferences. What file am I missing so I can get a clean Growl installation? (or alternatively, does anyone know why Growl notifications might work from SD run from the GUI but not from the SD scheduler?)
Eddie O, still wet and harmless.
1.1.1 and MailMe

MailMe is working different ways on different machines: two of which are essentially identical hardware:
One my old G5 Quad, MailMe works as expected with Grown 1.1.1, and SuperDuper 2.1.4 (OS X 4.10)
On one new iMac Intel 2.83 24" (10.4.10), SuperDuper Growl MailMe works on GUI invoked backups, but doesn't even get registered (as observed in Console) if SuperDuper! is run via its schedule.
On the other new iMac, SuperDuper! Growl MailMe are sent for all backups, except the "From" field is SIZE=<some number: here is the text:
Subject: Preview
Date: September 28, 2007 9:35:51 AM PDT
From: SIZE=1720
To:
xxxxxx@xxxx.xxx
This was a 100% clean installation: wiped everything and installed from scratch.
So, where does Growl pick up the "from" field? And why might SuperDuper! not be registering correctly when started from a schedule?

MailMe Notifications with SuperDuper Scheduled Runs

I to have lost mailme notifications from SuperDuper after a scheduled copy. It worked before Growl 1.1.1
If I go into Growl's preferences and click preview for the mailme notification I do get a preview email.
Standard bubble notifications also seem fine.

Do they work with any other apps? For instance, GrowlTunes?

Yes, mailme works for at least Lastfm, so I guess it must be something on the SuperDuper side, although mailme was working in SuperDuper and Growl is the only application that has been upgraded.
