Opacity not working for Crystal

Not sure if this is by design or not, but the Opacity slider has no effect for me when using the Crystal style. If it is that case that Crystal has a fixed opacity setting, shouldn't the slider be greyed?

You are correct, it's a bug in Crystal. Webkit styles seemingly determine which elements actually respond when opacity changes and in the case of Crystal it looks like nothing is changing.

We really just need to change how display plugins work in general. I wonder if we can get growlhelperapp to "ask" the display what it supports and then show the relevant controls.

Overkill I think for all display plugins. Each specifies their own preference pane in Display Options, so they shouldn't show it if they don't support it, simple enough. In the case of Webkit display styles, yes, their configuration plists should be extended to include flag(s) indicating if they support the common Webkit display style preferences so they can be enabled.

Ya, sorry, I was thinking specifically about webkit displays
