GrowlTunes

Post by SiRGadaBout »

First of all, thanks for the great work you've done - Growl is an excellent utility.

My problem is with the way GrowlTunes prioritises information in the notifications. I really think Artist and Title should comprise the first two lines (possibly Artist and Track Number/Title). This is particularly important for the Nano notification, which displays the track number, the track title, the track time and the rating, but not the artist. I'd rather have the artist than the track number and or rating if push comes to shove. I'd could live without the track time too, if space were an issue.

My last point is that, where a song has no track number, the notification displays "(null)". Could I recommend it either be left blank, or simply "0" (zero), on these occasions?

With a friendly nudge,

SiR G.

GrowlTunes is in need of an update and we're aware. :) Work has been done on a new incarnation - GrowlTunesPlugin - but I can't make any guarantees as to that software or GrowlTunes itself at this point.
Try my software!

GrowlTunesPlugin

Post by spagnutty »

I'm really craving the functionality of the new GrowlTunesPlugin that I've read about throughout the forum.

I'm cheering for its successful and rapid development! Is some sort of public availability on the horizon?
