hey how do i chose which applications i want to have growl

The application[s] needs to support Growl. Some applications then allow you to turn this on or customize from within their app, others allow Growl itself to be solely responsible. Basic answer - Growl doesn't control who supports it, it only manages the settings and provides the means to display notifications.

Do Safari 3 and iTunes 7 work with Growl?
