notifications during itunes sync

is it possible, has anyone created a plugin that would send growl notifications as each track is synced to an ipod?

No, I can see that as getting quite annoying with hundreds of syncs too..

does that 'no' also mean that it's not possible? could i get notifications for the sync process starting/finishing?
my itunes library is stored on my home fileserver, so my syncs usually take a while and it'd be nice if i could get periodic notifications about the progress w/o having to go back and check itunes itself to see what was going on.
