I am fairly new to the Mac world and brand new at growl... so be gentle with me.
Running 10.4.11, Growl 1.1.2
When I check "Start Growl at logon" and leave Prefs and come back in it reverts to unchecked. Ditto in GrowlMail: default is Notification on "New Junk Mail" -- when I change it to "New Mail" it reverts back to "New Junk Mail" after I exit and re-enter Preferences.
I assume it is some sort of permissions problem, but I can't figure out where to look.
Thanks in advance.

Changes to preferences not saving...
I have the same problem - whenever I change the Display Style to something other than Smoke it seems not to save the change and reverts back to the default. I have tried downgrading to .7.6 and reinstalling 1.1.2 and have deleted and reset the permissions of com.Growl.GrowlHelperApp.plist several times but still no love. Everything else works fine, but I am just trapped always using Smoke. Any ideas? Are they other files Growl uses I can try to reset the permissions on?
I am running 10.5.2 although the problem was also occurring in 10.5.1.

Upgraded to 1.1.3b2 fixed it...
Don't know why, but upgrading to the 1.1.3 beta 2 fixed my problem.
