While roaming in the preferences of Growl, I had seen that update automatically wasn't enabled. Before I enabled auto update, I clicked 'Check Now' and Sys Prefs crashed. I tried a second time and sys prefs crash again. Then I noticed airport was, although on, had completely lost connection. I turned aiport off, back on and clicked 'Check Now' again with no crash this time.
While clicking 'Check Now' in Growl System Preferences > About with Airport off or on but with no connection, System Preferences crashes.
