Clickable Nano Style

Hello, I was wondering if there was anyway to make the Nano style clickable. I love its small, unobtrusive state, but sometimes I need to click through to follow up on a notification.

Search the forums, there are other threads about this. The simple answer is no and that it won't happen though.

I did a preliminary search on "nano" and found some threads regarding it and the music video style, and kind of got the sentiment that these things were hard-coded and would be quite difficult to change. I didn't clearly find the answer though, and figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Guess I didn't dig deep enough.
