Growlmail for Growl 1.3.3 settings keep resetting

For some reason, everytime I go here:
System Preferences -> Growl -> Applications -> GrowlMail -> Notifications
And change the Notification setting to "New Mail," whenever I happen to go back to the GrowlMail settings, it always resets this to "New Junk Mail."
Is there something I'm doing incorrectly?
Thanks,

Actually, I noticed that none of my Notification settings stick. You don't see this happening until you completely back out of system preferences entirely.

Btw, you're in Decatur, GA? I'm in ATL.

You're not doing anything wrong, but there's nothing actually going wrong in the first place. You're just misunderstanding the interface. (I did the same thing. I can't help but wonder if there might be some way to make this clearer.)
The "Notification" pull-down menu is not a setting. The settings BELOW the menu apply to the event listed IN the menu. You select the event in the menu, then set the notification options with the settings below the menu. This allows you to set different notification options for different events, i.e., for GrowlMail, you can set different sounds to play for new mail, new junk mail, and new note.
I hope this helps, but I'm afraid my explanation may cause as much confusion as the original confusion! 8-)

Thank you so much. Now it all makes sense, this whole time I've been scratchin' my head tryin' to figure out what the heck was goin' on! Thank you.
Now that I know what's goin' on, I believe the issue now is with the GMail IMAP configuration with Apple Mail. All of the Junk Mail that comes through is being picked up as "new mail." Does anyone know the proper way to configure Apple Mail so that it only picks up new e-mail that shows up in the Apple Mail Inbox?
Thanks-
