I used to use growl ages ago. I recently installed it on my MacBook with Leopard, however. And it's just not working. The Paw is up there in the menu bar. But nothing happens when I get mail; the preferences are set properly. I do use two monitors but it doesn't appear on either. I have rebooted, restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled. But nada. What am I doing wrong?

I'm having the exact same problem. The one difference I noticed is that if you try to install growl for just the current user, you get an error saying that the installer could not install file to "User/[user]/Library/PreferencePanes". The install fails. The installer will run for me fine if I install for all users, but get the same thing and nickravo, everything looks right, but no notifications pop up.
