Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but i wondered if its possible to use the Growl SDK to make an app that can redirect Growl messages from certain apps (probably by choosing a custom display maybe?) and notify me on my Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. This would be useful when i need to be notified and in another room to my Mac.
Dunno if anyone has thought of something similar, if so that will save me some work I don't mind working to figure out how I'm gonna do this, but would like to know if its possible at least or am I way off the mark.

Unless I'm misreading, it seems like you answered your own question

You can write a custom Growl plugin, choose that display plugin as the style for the apps you want notified from, and then be done.

The plugin is the guts of what you want, and would likely be a variant of the Speech/MailMe plugins. 98% is what you want to accomplish; the remaining 2% os getting the plugin skeleton and notification contents into whatever you sent.
