Growl consistently crashes System Preferences

When I navigate to the Applications tab of Growl under my System Preferences I tend to have a window of about 10 clicks or so before System Preferences freezes.
I recently downloaded the beta version 1.1.3 and I'm thinking this might just be a bug.
Has anyone else experience this? - or is my problem something else I've yet to uncover?

It only happened to me with 1.1.3 - it's fine with 1.1.2.
