Hi,

Apologies for the tale of woe that follows; I would log/post the separately but some might be interrelated, and also see 9

1) I decided to upgrade Growl (from 7.6? to 1.1.2). I downloaded and installed it. Sadly in the preference pane it continued to show 7.6.

2) I used the uninstaller in the 1.1.2 dmg, it asked me for GrowlMenu.app, I couldn't find it so clicked Cancel. It seemed to remove Growl from the systems prefs anyway (yay! :)

3) I installed 1.1.2 - it worked (but obviously still not Leopard Mail) - yay!.

4) I downloaded the 1.1.3 beta, the first time I ran the install it said it failed with no obvious reason, the second time it succeeded (yay!). I had Mail closed both times.

5) It still didn't notify me of new messages, even after a restart or two.

6) When I went into preferences to look at the Mail settings again, after a few clicks System Preferences stopped responding and had to be force quit-ed.

7) I uninstalled 1.1.3 using the uninstaller in the 1.1.3 dmg - again it wanted something I couldn't find but uninstalled anyway (yay!)

8) Installed 1.1.2 again, which is working nicely (yay!)

9) I went to log these as bugs, followed the link to trac.growl.info - ended up at the normal page for http://www.growl.info and couldn't find anywhere to log my bug.

10) Came here and posted this (yay? :)

Anyhow, I'm not sure how many independant faults I have, but I definitely seem to have at least one :)
