Notifications Remain Onscreen Indefinitely

I'm on a MacBook Pro using Leopard. I'm using the new Growl 1.1.3 beta and everything's great except sometimes the notifications (GrowlMail, GrowlTunes) stay on the screen until I close each little notification window. It looks like they stay on the screen when I'm not actively working on the computer or using my mouse. This means that when I return from a meeting I could have 20 GrowlMail notifications covering my screen until I close each one individually - bit of a pain. I'm a rookie user - am I missing something?

Just a couple of thoughts. First, there is an option where you can specify for Growl alerts to remain on screen if you have been inactive for a set period of time (I have mine set to 30 seconds). Check under the "general" tab in the preferences to see if you also have that box checked.
Second, if you do use this feature, you will likely come back after periods of inactively with a large batch of notifications. Hold down the option key and close one, and they should all close. This should save you some time.

You're absolutely right - I glossed right over that section when scouring the preference panes. Thanks tons.
