Feature request-applescript-Existing Notifications & Close

I find myself wishing that Growl had an applescript command that would return the currently existing Notifications. Hopefully this would be implemented as a window reference. Ideally this would also be returned as the result of posting a notification as well. This would allow me to prevent the display of a duplicate of an existing Notification.

An applescript command for dismissing a specific notification would enable me to manage the repeat notification in a more sophisticated manner. ie. Updating existing notifications by dismissing and re-posting them, possibly with a different priority.
