Notifications?

Post by Vulcan »

I have installed Growl, though I can never get any notifications to pop up! I am using Tiger on a MBP, if it helps.

What version?
What applications are you expecting to show Growl notifications that aren't?
Did you install Logitech Control Center's most recent update?

Information is our friend and yours ;)

Adium - did you follow their configuration instructions?
Mail - is GrowlMail installed and configured?
iTunes - is GrowlTunes running?

Why do other apps automatically intall to Growl. Why do we have to run apps to install for iTunes or Mail?

Applications need to support Growl. Apple does not include support for Growl in their applications, thus external programs must do the work (and in this case, we provide them and point you to them.)
