Growl no longer appears in the Preferences, yet still works.

Post by Cralex »

Hey there,
I've been using Growl for some time now. I am running Leopard on a MacBook. However, I think I accidentally caused a glitch which caused Growl to stop appearing in the preferences, even though it still displays notifications. Reinstalling doesn't seem to help.

What happened was this: I tried to install an application that appears on Growl's list of supported applications, DriveGauge to be exact, and it wound up installing an older version of Growl, one that doesn't work on Intel Macs like mine. I eventually got rid of DriveGauge, since I had trouble getting it to work anyway, and the old Growl, but so far I have not been able to get Growl back in the Preferences. Even reinstalling the current version doesn't seem to help, it just opens up the preferences with all the proper preference panes... except Growl.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
