Due to a bug in the newly released TV Browser 2.7 (final) which headed me to the wrong direction I removed the TV Browser entry from the Growl application list yesterday. But this didn't fix the problem and let just disappear TVB for Growl.

Today it became clear that the problem origins from TVB and not from Growl.

After restarting both Growl and TVB the application did not show up again in the list so I tried to re-register it. To my surprise there seems to be no switch/button/something in Growl to do so. Walking through the WWW I found other users with the same problem but not a working solution.

So - is there an offical/unofficial way to re-register a removed application?

This is something that the application must do. If the application is not registering with Growl, then it isn't even trying to communicate with Growl, and registering it yourself would not fix it.

Thanks for the quick reply. In the meantime a TVB developer told me how to run a few tests to get a better picture of the situation.

The provided AppleScript re-registered the application successfully, but no further messages reached Growl. The also activated TVB logging did not show any unexpected results. Checking the configuration again did not show any unexpected behavior of the application.

At the moment it seems that something on the TVB side regarding Growl is broken.

I will keep you updated.
