Here's the issue: upper R and lower R overlap with scrollbars; upper L overlaps with window controls, browser buttons etc., lower L overlaps with lists of playlists/folders, etc. Whichever one I've tried, I've ended up wishing that &#^%$ notification would get out of the way of what I was doing before I accidentally moused over it.

I'd like the option of top/bottom/L/R center as well -- these are all areas of the screen that are much less frequently used for application controls & where notifications would be less obtrusive.
