I just downloaded the disk image for Growl.
Everything works great...problem is, I can't eject the disk image. When I try, Finder comes up and says,
"The disk "Growl-1.14" is in use and could not be ejected."
"Try quitting applications and try again."
I quit every single applications and paused Growl. Same message came up. I'm totally at a loss as to what I'm missing...probably something simple. I never put anything into my Applications folder...could that be the problem? I don't think it is, but I have no idea.
ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Putting applications in your Applications folder is how you install them. If you just double click on them from the disk image you are just running them, they aren't installed. you copy them from the disk image to your Applications folder then eject the disk image and run them from there. That should only apply to GrowlTunes and HardwareGrowler. the other two install properly on your computer.
