growl 1.2 different dmg sizes

Hello everybody,

im a little bit nervous about something i had seen when i reinstalled my macbook. As far as i can they i seemed to download a growl 1.2 dmg file that has only 3,1 MB, but works without problems.

But as far as i know the correct size is 5,3 MB

Now im a little bit concerned that i may have a security issue with a manipulated growl version.
If anyone of you have some information i would be glad to read them.

Get Info on the file in Finder. How many bytes is it?
