I'm using the SnowLeo theme, and I really like how it looks. The only problem I'm having is when someone I'm chatting with through Adium sends a quick succession of messages. When five or six notifications stack up, they completely cover my chat window, and I have to wait for the last messages to disappear before I can see it again. Manually clicking these messages is unacceptable.
Possible solutions:
• Configure Growl to suppress notifications from the application with primary focus
• Configure SnowLeo theme to slide notifications up when previous messages fade out
I'm getting into programming, and this could be a good project. Any ideas?
make messages slide up after previous msg fades out
Re: make messages slide up after previous msg fades out
You can already do this for Adium in Adium's Preferences.freshmas wrote:Configure Growl to suppress notifications from the application with primary focus
Another solution is to option-click the close box of one of the notifications. That will close all of them.
Re: make messages slide up after previous msg fades out
Those are both helpful, especially the first suggestion.
I assume you're talking about the configuration page for Adium within the Growl preference pane:
I suspect the only proper solution will require exploring a little deeper. Ideally, each successive Growl notification would slide up to occupy the space vacated by its predecessor whenever earlier messages fade out.
