clicking GrowlMail notification does not show mail windows

I am using GrowlMail to notify me about my mail in Mac OS X Mail for Snow Leopard. Often (not always) when I click on a notification, mail will become the active application (will show as the active app in the menu bar), but the mail window will not come to the foreground even though it is open. I will have to click the mail icon in the dock to bring it to the front.

How can I fix this behavior? Thanks.

If you're a programmer, you can fix it in the GrowlMail source code (assuming it is a bug in GrowlMail) and send us a patch.
