As a newcomer to this, is it possible to stop HardwareGrowler (Growl?) notifications which have been triggered by a particular underlying application?
In my case I am running virus barrier and whenever it checks a disk image I get the notification of the disk being loaded. I could do without the distraction.

As far as I know, there's no way to tell what mounted a volume—only that it mounted. So no.
