GrowlHelperApp 100% CPU

Post by georgewilkinson »

I have not been able to determine what the event is that triggers this, but suddenly Activity Monitor registers GrowlHelperApp taking on average 100% of one the the CUP cores and stays that way until I force quit. What is this application doing? Can I deinstall it some way and leave the rest of growl working? I do get growl messages when this app is not taking any CPU cycles. I am using the latest release of growl 1.2 on Snow Leopard.

Please take a sample using Activity Monitor and post it here using the “Upload Attachments” tab on the reply form.

I am waiting for it to do it again, then I can take a sample. It did it this morning but I forgot to take the sample.
